The Ogontz Avenue Revitalization Corporation (OARC) is a non-profit, 501(c) (3) community development corporation whose primary mission is to create and stimulate economic development while improving the quality of life for residents in West Oak Lane and other neighborhoods throughout the Northwest section of Philadelphia.
OARC’s successful model has been built on its ability to collaborate with government agencies, politicians, CDCs, community organizations, private developers, local universities and neighborhood public schools. These collaborations have enabled OARC to bring the resources and commitments necessary to solve difficult problems and improve the quality of life in our communities. Partner with us and become part of OARC’s effort to bring innovative programs that energize communities and bring hope and inspiration to residents across Northwest Philadelphia and the region.
We take a holistic approach towards community revitalization and collaborate with other organizations and community leaders, focusing on our five "pillar" service areas:
• Housing & Economic Development
• Business Development
• Cleaning & Greening
• Education & Community Relations
• Arts & Culture
OARC is also the executive producer of the internationally-acclaimed annual West Oak Lane Jazz & Arts Festival. Each year, Ogontz Avenue is transformed into an exciting festival of vendors offering food, fine arts and crafts, and non-stop musical entertainment.
