A: Artists will be paid at the end of each month if their account reaches the threshold of $25.00. If the threshold of $25.00 is not reached, the amount will carry over to the following month. Options of how the artist is paid royalties, such as paypal/ direct deposit/check are located within the registration process.
Q: Do I have to be linked to a charity?
A: No, an artist does not have to link their song to a charity. It can be linked to the charity of choice by the member purchasing the song..
Q: How do I link with a charity?
A: You can link to a charity when you initially upload a song. You can choose at this time to link your song to a specific charity by answering yes when prompted and selecting the charity. You also have the ability to link your songs to a charity at any given time after you are registered by going into your account to the "Manage Songs" tab and edit your song. At that point, attach your song to any of our charities.
Q: Why would my song be denied?
A: A song could be denied for lyrics which do not pass the “GC” rating. “GC” rating is GenuineCaring.com’s rating system and is defined as: All music, music lyrics, pictures and content on our site reflects the pure intent to be uplifting, respectful and have a positive spirit of integrity that is appropriate for ANY AGE visitor to our site.
Q: How old do you have to be to upload a song/create account?
A: Artists of all ages can share their music on our site. If you are, however, under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must be registering you and agreeing to the license agreement and terms and conditions.
Q: Can I have the same music uploaded on your site as well as other sites?
A: Yes, feel free to upload your song wherever you’d like, the more exposure, the better. Keep in mind, the advantage to purchasing ANY of your music on GenuineCaring.com website is that they get to support a charity that you absolutely stand behind. Different from other places you may park your music, GC.com is a safe haven for kids of any ages to shop for music, and in the process learn the value of serving others. Then as you share with them your passion foryour charity, you open their eyes to serving others, and the process has begun of people helping people help people in need! A: Each time a member downloads your song, you will get paid a royalty of .20 cents.

Q: Do I have to pay for my music to be on your site?
A: Our site is absolutely FREE to use. Upload as many songs as you want!
Q: Will I be notified when someone downloads one of my songs?
A: You will be able to view amount of downloads per song by going into your G.C. account, then to the Earnings tab where you will see # of downloads and your earnings to date.
Q: I am not familiar with the laws concerning what music I can legally upload into your site? Could you explain what I need to do to safeguard my music?
A: You can ONLY upload and share music on our site that is either original or music that you have a mechanical license to use. It states in our terms and conditions how ALL MUSIC SHOULD HAVE A COPYRIGHT. If help is needed to copyright/safeguard your music, there is a link in our terms and conditions that will take you to the appropriate site to register your music.
Q: Can I edit a song after it is uploaded?
A: Only if the song is not attached to a charity. Just go in your account under Manage Songs.
Q: Can I change my public profile info?
A: Yes and then you must click on submit for your changes to be reviewed and approved.
Q: If I do not live in the United States, can I register and upload songs?
A:Yes. Due to international regulations, we ask that you please create a PayPal account, if you don't already have one, for purposes of being able to pay you directly through means of PayPal. . Q: Is there an icon that I can put on my website to promote my songs?
A: Yes, this icon is contained in the complimentary marketing kit that is sent to you once you register. You are also sent the url of your page, allowing you to connect the icon with that page, taking people directly to you on our site!
Q: Why do I need to submit my 501C IRS statement?
A: This IRS statement, which may come in different forms, show us that you qualify as a charitable organization, defined by the IRS. We are required to have a copy on file for our records. You must submit your 501C IRS statement in order to be approved and available for donations from our site. Please send a file via email to customerservice@genuinecaring.com
Q: Can you use same email for charity, artist or member?
A: An email specific to a charity’s account CAN NOT be used again to sign up as an artist or to create a member account. That email is attached to the charity’s bank account and is for putting funds into only. When you register as a charity or artist, you automatically become a member. However, an email specific to a charity’s account cannot be used again to sign up as an artist, or vice versa. This is for security purposes. You need a separate email for each account, even if you have multiple charities.
Q: When will donations received for my charity be deposited in my charity’s bank account?
A: All dollars received for your charity from downloads will be deposited to your account at the end of the month if your account reaches $100.00. If the threshold of $100.00 is not reached, all monies will be carried over to the following month for distribution at the end of that month.
Q: How do we promote our charity on GenuineCaring.com?
A: The best way is to first utilize our complimentary marketing kit that is sent to you after you are registered with our site. Then, find artists who may want to attach their music to your charity, on GenuineCaring.com. Do you or your friends know of anyone who writes music, sings, or is in a band? Check out our site for artists, look at other sites, there may be an artist who is a good fit for your charity. The more artists you align with, the more donations driven toward your charity. A: You will be notified, via email, if an artist decides to attach their song to your charity for the 90 day period. You also have the ability to view, listen and delete all songs that your charity is linked to in your account under “Manage Songs”

A: You should reach out to your supporters/community/family and friends, and promote to them to purchase the music on our site to support your charity. Even the music that is posted by our freelancers... they can purchase and donate to your charity at check out. Also, utilizing the press release, and other such materials sent to you from our customer service, should support you in continuing to get the word out about you and the artists supporting your charity.

Q: Are the purchases/downloads I make on GenuineCaring.com tax deductible?
A: Every $1.00 of the $1.99 download will be tax deductible. Along with receiving a dual receipt that identifies the $1.00 is a donation, you will be receiving a statement from GenuineCaring.com at the end of each year listing the dollar amounts going to each charity and that charity’s status with the IRS (i.e., 501C3, 501C4, etc.). Based on the status of the charitable organization, the rates of taxable income deductibility may vary.

A: This may be different for different pieces of equipment, but our suggestion is as follows:
First of all, you will need to have a media player. Then, you will need to plug in your connection wire to the computer and your device. Click transfer music on you media player. You will need to follow instructions based on your device that you are putting your music on.
